Facilitating virtual production during the pandemic
Hybrid working is set to become the new normal for most of the corporate and public sector. According to a survey conducted by the British Chambers of Commerce, 66% of businesses will continue to offer some remote working.
However, ‘make do’ technology solutions that we experienced at the beginning of the pandemic will no longer be tolerated. A recent report by AVIXA found that the conferencing and collaboration technology market has grown to $43.5 billion in 2021 with a 2.8% CAGR. Conference cameras in the corporate sector have seen the greatest growth.
Considering this growth, the Midwich Group has been focusing on growing our UC&C solution offering – adding Bose, Jabra, Lenovo and Neat to our list of world-leading partnered brands. These brands we have selected to enter the hybrid age are trusted partners and innovators, offering unique room system solutions that allow us to match user requirements rather than a ‘one experience fits all’ approach.
Some end users still feel overwhelmed by the vast choice of brands and products in the UC&C and AV space, and some are still early adopters of video conferencing. Offering heritage names in the commercial and consumer space such as Bose and Lenovo, with years of recognition and high-quality assurance can bring peace of mind.
Remote working will continue to be a reality for many employees, but physical in-person meeting rooms still have an important role. When working with teams, it has become increasingly important to deploy collaboration solutions that seamlessly connect flexible workers and teams together, enhancing productivity. Lenovo’s Smart Collaboration Devices for Zoom Rooms delivers an integrated, connected experience, and we are delighted to add these products to our formidable line-up of UC&C solutions across the UK&I.” Ross Floyd, Divisional Director, Midwich Ltd.
