Committed to reducing our environmental impact.
We recognise our role in the environment’s long-term sustainability. Managing emissions and energy use, focusing on what we can control and making responsible choices with a positive environmental impact.
Conservation and biodiversity.
As part of our charitable and community activities, we support conservation initiatives that contribute to positive environmental outcomes.
In EMEA, we work with Reforest’Action, a recognised programme focused on addressing deforestation through forest preservation, restoration and tree planting. In 2025, this collaboration supported the planting of more than 3,000 trees. These activities reflect our practical and measured approach to environmental stewardship, complementing our broader sustainability priorities.

Carbon reduction.
We are taking practical steps to reduce emissions across our operations and value chain, focusing on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
Scope 1 – Direct emissions
We continue to reduce fuel‑related emissions through expanded low‑emission pool cars at HQ, a 125% increase in electric vehicle uptake versus 2023 via our EV salary sacrifice scheme, and the installation of a solar array at our Diss headquarters, operational from 2026.
Scope 2 – Indirect energy emissions
During 2025, 98% of our UK&I electricity‑consuming sites transitioned to renewable green energy tariffs. Our HQ rooftop solar installation is expected to generate around 50% of the building’s electricity during sunnier months.
Scope 3 – Value chain emissions
We introduced a green travel policy, reducing CO₂ emissions from ISE‑related flights by 35% versus 2024. We also committed to the Science Based Targets initiative, with 50% of our top 24 suppliers already aligned, and improved our EcoVadis Sustainable Procurement score by 60%, strengthening supply‑chain governance.
Strengthening our net zero pathway.
Following a comprehensive review of our emissions profile, we are progressing the extension of our carbon reduction targets to establish science‑based targets.
This work incorporates analysis of supplier emissions, operational reduction opportunities and credible decarbonisation pathways. Our ambition is to align with recognised scientific guidance, including SBTi and IPCC‑aligned pathways, providing a clear and structured framework for long‑term emissions reduction.
While strengthening our long‑term goals, we remain focused on delivering measurable near‑ and mid‑term progress, supported by transparent reporting and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
Success stories.
Employee-led local reforestation.
Our Kern & Stelly business recently supported local reforestation through a hands‑on tree‑planting initiative in Germany’s Klövensteen Forest. The activity contributed to biodiversity and environmental improvement while strengthening team collaboration and reflecting on our practical, community‑focused approach to sustainability.
Active Week - Reforest Action
Our EMEA businesses have initiated "Active Week", where teams use their local environments to get fitter and pledge trees to the Belorado project.
